The MK&G is an impressive building with much to discover. At the same time, it is not always easy for our guests to find their way around the more than 10,000 m² of exhibition space, and the desire for more quiet zones and opportunities to spend time in the building is often expressed.

In order to meet these needs, we held a small invited competition among young designers working independently. The results of this competition are presented in this hallway.  In doing so, we are also fulfilling our responsibility to provide a platform for young platform for young designers and to draw attention to regional and national creativity and design quality.

The six design studios of Marie Gimpel (Berlin/Hamburg), Gruppe Praxis (Hamburg), Max Guderian (Hamburg), Studio œ (Berlin/Karlsruhe), Pitsch & Schau (Hamburg) and Benjamin Unterluggauer (Kiel) have submitted designs for MK&G seating furniture that should offer you comfort, convincing design and a high degree of recognition in the corridors  of the MK&G.

But before the designs are implemented, we are interested in your opinion:  Which of the proposals do you like best? What are your wishes for future seating furniture in the MK&G?

The complete designs with detailed descriptions are on display until 13 November on the ground floor of the MK&G. We are looking forward to your suggestions: pens and paper are ready, we are looking forward to your sketches, impulses, additions and ideas!
