Der bekannte Verwandlungs- und Trapezkünstler Barbette ist in Barcelona vom Trapez tödlich abgestützt. Vor etwa einem halben Jahr war Barbette das letzte Mal in Berlin im Wintergarten. Eine Frau vollführte hoch oben an der Decke am freischwingenden Trapez akrobatische Glanzleistungen und verbeugte sich zum Schluß als Mann! // 'Barbette' war eine der besten Verwandlungsnummern, die das internationale Variété gehabt hat! 'Bremer Nachrichten' 359/189 Jahrg. 29/XII. 1931"
