Die englische Kunstzeitschrift "The Yellow Book. An Illustrated Quarterly" erschien von 1894 bis 1897 in insgesamt 13 Bänden. Für die ersten vier Bände lag die Gestaltung in den Händen von Aubrey Beardsley, der zahlreiche Illustrationen beisteuerte und auch die Zeichnung für die Titelillustration entworfen hat, welche auf den gelben Leineneinband gedruckt wurde.
