Dieser Spinnwirtel aus dem norditalienischen Faenza stammt aus der Sammlung des prominenten Industriellen und Kunstsammlers Adalbert von Lanna in Prag. Insgesamt waren einst 32 Wirtel an einem roten Seidenband zu einer Kette aufgereiht. Die meisten tragen einen Mädchennamen und den Zusatz „BELLA“. Keramische Spinnwirtel, auch Pittoli oder Fusciarolli genannt, waren ein beliebtes Geschenk für junge Damen.
