Diese Schminkpalette weist eine ungewöhnliche Form auf. Ein Teil erinnert an die Schwanzflosse fischförmiger Platten, ob aber auch der vordere zu zwei Spitzen auslaufende Bogen eine Tierform aufnimmt, ist nicht zu entscheiden. Möglicherweise handelt es sich auch um eine Umarbeitung. Eingetiefte Bohrlöcher auf beiden Seiten dienten zur Aufnahme einer Scheibe aus Knochen, wie andere Paletten zeigen. Zumeist handelt es sich um Augen – könnte also die Form doch einen sich bewegenden Fisch darstellen?
Auf der Oberfläche zeugen deutliche Schnittspuren vom Gebrauch.
Schminkpaletten sind charakteristische Objekte der Naqada-Kultur des 4. Jahrtausends v. Chr.
