Der reliefierte Medusenhaupt weist üppig geringeltes Haar auf, das über der Stirn zu einem sog. Heraklesknoten aufgebunden ist. Umgeben ist das Mittelfeld von mehreren plastischen Rillen und einem gemalten Wellenband. Auf dem Deckel sind Reste der farbigen Fassung dieser Pyxis sichtbar.
