Auf einem flachen Sockel mit abgerundetem Profil steigt der zylindrische Körper mit leicht konkaven Profil auf. Der Deckel weist um ein Mittelmedaillon mit dem frontalansichtigen Haupt der Gorgo Medusa zwei Rillen auf. Deckel und Gefäß passen perfekt zusammen.
Der reliefierte Medusenhaupt weist üppig geringeltes Haar auf, das über der Stirn zu einem sog. Heraklesknoten aufgebunden ist. Umgeben ist das Mittelfeld von mehreren plastischen Rillen und einem gemalten Wellenband. Auf dem Deckel sind Reste der farbigen Fassung dieser Pyxis sichtbar.
