Das Buch präsentiert das von Paul Renner entworfene Futura-Alphabet in 26 Linolschnitten von Svato Zapletal, die in den Spektralfarben gedruckt sind. Unter jedem der Buchstaben findet sich ein kurzer Textauszug eines Autors, dessen Name mit dem jeweiligen Buchstaben anfängt. Der Text wurde aus der 12 Punkt dreiviertelfetten Futura gesetzt und wie auch die Originallinolschnitte an der Andruckpresse in einer Gesamtauflage von 44 Exemplaren gedruckt. Vorliegend das signierte Exemplar Nr. 26.
