Die Oinochoe ist mit der Darstellung von einer der zwölf legendären Taten des griechischen Heros Herakles verziert.
Links ist der Heros dargestellt, erkennbar an Löwenfell, Köcher und Keule. Er ist im Begriff, den zweiköpfigen Kerberos, Wächter des Eingangs zur Unterwelt, zu fesseln. Hinter dem Höllenhund steht der Götterbote Hermes, bekleidet mit Chiton und Flügelhut.
