Nolanische Halsamphora (A: Jüngling und Mann | B: Frau)

Auf Seite A stehen sich ein Jüngling links und ein bärtiger Mann in gemessenem Ernst gegenüber. Der Jüngling trägt eine auf der Schulter geknüpfte Chlamys, im Nacken einen Petasos (Reisehut) und hochgeschnürte Stiefel. Mit der Linken stützt er sich auf zwei Lanzen. Unter der Chlamys ist ein Schwertgehänge zu erkennen. Der Bärtige ist mit einem langen Chiton und einem Mantel bekleidet. Er stützt sich auf ein Zepter und wurde daher als König gedeutet.
Seite B zeigt ein nach rechts eilendes Mädchen, das mit einem Peplos bekleidet ist. Die Haare sind in einer Haube zusammengefasst. Sie blickt sich um und hat die Arme wie vor Entsetzen ausgestreckt.
Der Archäologe Ernst Bielefeld hat gefragt: "Darf man an den jungen Theseus denken, der vor Minos auftritt, während Ariadne flieht? Oder eher an Iason vor Aietes, das Goldene Vlies fordernd, wobei Medeia entflieht?" Diese Deutungen lassen sich nicht beweisen. So könnte es sich auch um den Abschied eines Epheben handeln.
