In den weißen Grund sind purpurfarbene Blüten eingefügt. Sie bestehen aus einem punktförmigen weißen Kern mit dunklem Rand, acht Blütenblättern und einem breiten dunklen Außenkreis mit weißen Punkten.
In römischer Zeit verwendete man farbiges, ornamentiertes Glas für Gefäße, Mosaike, Wanddekorationen und Möbelverzierungen.
