Bei den sogenannten Megarischen Bechern handelt es sich um eine Gattung hellenistischer Feinkeramik, deren Produktion in Athen beginnt und sich dann im östlichen Mittelmeerraum ausbreitet. Die matrizengeformte Reliefkeramik erinnert an Metallgefäße. Umfangreiche Funde in der Hafenstadt Megara führten zur fälschlichen
Benennung.
Der Körper dieser Schale ist mit spitzen, gerippten, aufwärts gerichteten Schuppen verziert. Darüber befindet sich über plastisch umlaufenden Leisten ein Kymation. Der Boden der Schale ist ein wenig nach innen gewölbt.
