Lekythos in Six-Technik (Kitharaspielerin mit zwei Löwen)

Dargestellt ist eine Kitharaspielerin, deren langer Chiton geritzt ist. Die Hautpartien – Arme und Kopf – sind mit weißer Farbe angetragen. In den Haaren trägt sie eine rote Binde. Sie ist nach rechts gewandt und hält das große Instrument in ihrer Linken. Gerahmt wird sie von zwei Löwen. Das rechte Tier schaut zu ihr zurück. Man hat an Sappho gedacht, die große Dichterin von Lesbos.
Auf der abgesetzten Schulter unter kurzen Zungen befinden sich Rankenbögen mit Lotosknospen, dazwischen weiße Punkte. Zwei rote Linien unter der Schulter und je eine unter dem Bild und über dem Fuß rahmen und gliedern den Gefäßkörper.
