Auf den Seiten A und B ist jeweils ein Reiter auf einem nach rechts galoppierenden Pferd dargestellt. Der Reiter hält zwei Lanzen mit nach vorne gesenkten Spitzen. Er neigt seinen mit einem breitkrempigen Hut (griech. Petasos) bedeckten Kopf nach vorne. Der nach hinten wehende Schweif des Pferdes ist durch eine schwungvolle Zickzacklinie angegeben. Das Zaumzeug wird durch eine gerade Linie angedeutet. Das Pferd hat eine Stoppelmähne und ein offenes Maul. Unter dem Bauch ist ein Fuß des Reiters zu erkennen. Ähnliche Figuren mit Speeren und Hut finden sich auf attischen Vasen bei Darstellungen von Ausflügen zur Jagd, dort allerdings meist in beruhigter Form.
Die schemenhafte Bemalung ist nachlässig ausgeführt und auf den schwarzen Gefäßkörper aufgemalt.
