Dieses interessante Kännchen für Sencha ist eine Arbeit aus dem Ryūkyū-Königreich (heute Okinawa, Japan) oder aus China. Eine schwarz polierte Kokosnussschale bildet den Körper der Kanne. Griffe, Tülle und Fuß bestehen aus Metall und sind mit kleinen Perlmuttplättchen verziert. Der Bauch des Kännchens ist mit Glück bringenden lingzhi-Pilzen dekoriert. Der lackierte hölzerne Deckel zeigt ebenfalls bunte Perlmuttornamente.
