Die Offizin des Aldus Manutius in Venedig ist berühmt für sein humanistisches Editionsprogramm, insbesondere für den Druck mit griechischen Lettern. Der Aristoteles-Komentar des Johannes Philoponus wurde erstmals 1504 von Aldus gedruckt und wurde in der vorliegenden Ausgabe 1534 von den Erben des Aldus neu aufgelegt. Sowohl auf dem Titelblatt als auch auf dem letzten Blatt ist das bekannte Druckersignet von Manutius, ein Anker mit einem sich darum windenden Delphin, prominent zu sehen.
