Die Aufnahme von W. Champés zeigt den Ehrenbürgerbrief der Stadt Hamburg für Otto von Bismarck vom 15.12.1871. Die von Martin Gensler (1811–1881) mit Temperafarben auf Pergament gemalte Urkunde befindet sich heute im Besitz des Bismarck-Museums, Friedrichsruh.
