Auftragsarbeit für einen hohen kirchlichen Würdenträger – ein bedeutendes Kunstwerk des italienischen Hochbarock. In typischer Bauweise italienischer Cembali ist das im äußeren Schutzgehäuse liegende Instrument aus klanglichen Gründen sehr leicht und dünnwandig gebaut – seine Seitenwände haben eine Stärke von nur 5 Millimetern.
