Das Alphabetbuch zeigt Zierbuchstaben, die aus Putten gebildet sind. Der jeweilige Buchstabe wird im nebenstehenden Text als Initiale wieder aufgenommen. Das vorliegende Exemplar zählt zwölf Blätter in Querformat und ist vermutlich unvollständig. Es ist weder ein Titelblatt vorhanden noch ist ein Publikationsjahr oder eine Signatur eines Künstlers ersichtlich. Angesichts der im Text genannten Personen ist jedoch ein toskanischer oder genauer Florentiner Kontext anzunehmen, so bezeichnet das C Cosimo de' Medici, das E Empoli, das F Farnese und das G Giotto. Stilistisch ist das Werk ins 18. Jahrhundert zu datieren. Das Buch ist in einen Pappband der Zeit mit Halblederrücken gebunden.
