Life on Planet Orsimanirana

The exhibition project Life on Planet Orsimanirana takes advantage of the full capabilities of design to offer visitors the experience of a utopian future, thus opening up new ways of thinking. The internationally acclaimed designer Jerszy Seymour (b. 1968) joins forces here with Emanuele Braga (MACAO, Milan) and Amica Dall (Assemble, London) to create a fantastic and humorous world on a fictional planet where all problems seem to have been solved. This is a place where people laugh, dance, negotiate, and shape their world together. Visitors are encouraged to immerse themselves in this alternative universe and to use it as a vantage point to take a closer look at our own present and past in order to gain new insights on current issues involving work, education, and production. Life on Planet Orsimanirana is a platform where people can discuss things openly and participate with humor, a sense of fun and a relish for life. The project is designed for those who would like to take a more active role in the museum and use the power of collective design to think about new paths and possible answers to the pressing questions of our present day.
