From 29 November to 3 December 2023, the MK&G messe will present the latest trends in contemporary arts and crafts, including young and renowned positions, international trends and fresh perspectives from diverse design disciplines such as ceramics, glass art and jewellery design. As an international forum, the MK&G messe offers arts and crafts of high design and craftsmanship quality for a broad audience.
The supporting public programme deals with current issues in contemporary arts and crafts. In 2023, selected emerging craftspeople will be invited to present their work at the MK&G messe for the first time in the "Young Talents" category which was initiated in 2022. A design accent will be set by the fair’s architecture conceived especially for the space. The MK&G messe will be accompanied by a large solo exhibition in the "Contemporary Craft" exhibition series by the renowned artist and jewellery designer Margit Jäschke.
The opening of the fair and the presentation of the Justus Brinckmann Prize and the New Generation Award will take place on Tuesday, 28 November 2023 at 6 pm.
