The "German Design Graduates Show" is the group exhibition of the annual competition of the German Design Graduates (GDG) initiative for outstanding graduates in the field of product design. After the class of 2022 is presented at the Museum of Decorative Arts of the Dresden State Art Collections, the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg (MK&G) will show concepts and ideas of the graduates selected in 2023. The call for entries is aimed at students from the most renowned universities and art and design colleges who are studying product or industrial design, design research, UX and service design as well as material design and social design.

The exhibition is dedicated to the central developments of our time in politics, society and the environment and shows the most interesting ideas and approaches of young product design talents. Each year, top-class juries select the exhibitors and the winners of the four awards. The awards ceremony takes place within the framework of the exhibition, as do the GDG Talks, which are dedicated to the expectations of young designers.

German Design Graduates is an initiative with the aim of promoting young product design graduates and presenting state-recognised universities, art colleges and universities of applied sciences, art colleges and universities of applied sciences.
