On the occasion of the exhibition "Glitter," a Glitter Meetup will take place in the Freiraum – let's craft and glitter! Under a changing theme, self-proclaimed glitter fans and bedazzle experts come together to craft and create. Just as the material "glitter" exists only in the plural, the exhibition "Glitter" is also about multiplicity: community, protest, care, and togetherness. Crafting and glittering together becomes a form of political expression, empowerment, and exchange. Especially in times of unrest and change, (shared) crafting can create a moment of calm, retreat, or lightness, and help bring a little sparkle and shine to difficult topics. With that in mind, we’ll explore the subversive and collaborative potential of glitter using various materials and DIY practices.

This session is all about glittering everyday items together. Do you have things at home that could use a little sparkle? Whether it's display objects like photo albums or picture frames, your daily coffee mug, nasal spray, diary, a battered phone case, the schoolbook you’re tired of looking at, or your favorite storage box – everything can become a glitter project here!

No prior experience is needed – just a love for the material and DIY spirit! Bring the items and materials you’d like to glitter. We’ll provide some crafting supplies and glitter. Scissors, pens, and glue will be available. We’re excited to see you there!
