Workshop in the D.I.Y. room of the “Glitter” exhibition Doing Glitter with Fiona Tretau: Make Your Own Sacred Patch!
Registration required Cost: 6 euros plus museum admission Free of charge for holders of a Glitzer Fan Ticket The number of participants is limited to 15
In the workshop “Make Your Own Sacred Patch!” we will create patches or textile collages together. Using various materials and techniques, you'll design your personal Sacred Patch – without a fixed plan. The motifs evolve during the creative process. Whether minimalist, playful, or political – everything is possible!
The workshop is led by Fiona Tretau from The Propcorner. Since 2015, she has been working on patches and badges, inspired by punk and pop culture, motorcycle clubs, Madonna figures, kitsch, and football clubs. Her work is aligned with the Craftivism movement, which uses traditional handcrafts as a means to deliver political messages.
All materials are included in the participation fee, but you’re welcome to bring materials made from denim fabric as well. The workshop will take place in the D.I.Y. room of the exhibition and will be conducted in German.
The workshop is part of the accompanying programme for the exhibition “Glitter”.
