In this workshop, you’ll learn from drag artists Dixi Glow (they/them) and Chastity Belt (she/her) how to bring your drag persona to life using makeup, whether you're a King, Queen, or Inbetween – everyone is welcome! Dixi Glow and Chastity Belt represent drag beyond the mainstream. Both are seasoned performers who have developed their own unique (make-up) styles – and they want to inspire that same courage for individuality in you. All drag is valid!

You're invited to bring a mood board or any inspirations you've already gathered for your drag persona's look so you can dive right in. Dixi and Chastity will be there to support you with advice and guidance to help turn your ideas into reality. A selection of materials will be provided, so that everyone can create a complete look by the end. If you already have your own makeup – like foundation, brushes, or mascara – feel free to bring it along!

The workshop focuses on makeup; techniques like tucking or binding unfortunately won’t be covered due to time constraints. However, all participants are warmly invited to take photos together in the "Glitzer" exhibition at the end – so feel free to bring a wig or outfit of your choice! There will also be a space on-site for changing.

All materials are included in the workshop fee. The workshop will take place in the D.I.Y. space of the exhibition. This space is part of the exhibition and will remain accessible to other museum visitors during the workshop. The workshop will be held in German and is intended for individuals aged 14 and up – no prior experience with drag or makeup is necessary.

The workshop is part of the supporting program of the exhibition “Glitter”.
