Spiegelsaal

The neoclassical concert and banquet hall from 1909, designed by Martin Haller, was part of the Palais of Henry and Emma Budge in Harvestehude, which today houses the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre (HfMT). Thanks to its reconstruction in 1987 on the ground floor of the MK&G, the hall, adorned with numerous semi-columns, stucco ornaments, and mirrors, is now available for receptions, concerts, evening events, as well as readings and photo shoots.

Vestibule

The Vestibule on the lower level of the MK&G, with its open and bright design, large glass façade facing the courtyard, and slender concrete columns, is particularly suited for lectures, receptions, symposiums, and conferences. The event space can be expanded by utilizing the adjoining gallery.

The Freiraum, located at the heart of the museum on the ground floor, serves as a meeting and project space for visitors, staff, and the neighboring community during opening hours. The Freiraum is particularly well-suited for workshops, lectures, team events, and seminars, offering a flexible and welcoming environment for brainstorming, idea development, and collaboration. The Conference Room, designed by the Besau-Marguerre Design Studio, blends modern working methods with a contrast of graphic elements and iconic design classics. Located on the 2nd floor of the MK&G, this space is ideal for seminars, workshops, meetings, and hybrid events.
