Supporting Programme "sports/no sports"

Museum Talk

Thu, 2 March 2017, 7pm
How do ladies go on horseback? What did horsewomen wear in the past and how do we assess this today? Skirt, trousers or both; did they ride in sidesaddle or not? Original costumes and pictures give an insight. An expert of the Hanseatischer Damensattel Club Hamburg e.V. discuses with the curator Angelika Riley. Visitors have the possibility to experience the sidesaddle.
