After the end of World War II, the Swiss graphic designer, Josef Müller-Brockmann was at the top of his game. His posters often do not need graphic motifs, rather, they standout through the structure of their rigid design. This poster, one of his most spectacular, advertises noise protection. Between the diagonals of paper plane, the designer depicted the head of a woman, who is desperately covering her ears. The headline is aligned in the same direction. Both the image and text form an urgent appeal against excessive noise.
