Peter Keetman was an eminent German photographer of the 1950s and 1960s. His photos are representative of an abstract and experimental imagery. The narrow viewframe as well as the geometrical form of the “reflecting drops” create the impression of a graphic print. Keetman’s images bear witness, alongside his understanding of photography as an artistic form of expression, also to his interest in the structural principles underlying his environment. In the central focus of his photographic series stand industrial motifs and urban views, taking an equal place alongside pictures of nature and landscapes.
