The American Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008) is one of the most important artists of the second half of the 20th century. With this design, he participated in a seven-part series of artists-posters produced for the magazine “Lithopinion”. The themes of these works were the privatized highways in the East of the USA, which were supposed to be maintained through taxpayers’ money. Rauschenberg cites a statement by the poet William Boroughs, who told him about a dream, in which the world was destroyed through misunderstood technology.
